Charges Pending In Fatal Cosby Hwy Accident

Charges are pending against a woman who caused a fatal accident in the Cosby area on Monday. The accident took place in the 2700 block of Cosby Highway. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 70 year old Barbara Williamson was driving a Toyota Seina northbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the path of a Ford F-150 pickup. Williamson was injured in the crash, but thje driver of the Ford F-150 was killed. That drivers’ name was not released, and the accident remains under investigation, but charges are pending against Williamson.
