Missing Man Found In Newport

Monday afternoon Newport police located a missing man. Officers were called to the Weigels on Cosby Hwy about a man who had been t\sitting near the entrance of the store for most of the day. Police found a black male who was identified as Jimmy Miller who was actually reported as a missing person out of Mebane , NC just east of Greensboro. Miller seemed confused and could not tell officers how he got where he was. First Call paramedics transported Miller to the Newport Medical Center. The family in North Carolina was notified that he had been found in Newport. Surrounding law enforcement agencies were given a description of Miller’s vehicle so they could be on the lookout for it.
