Two People Killed In Sevier County House Fire Near English Mountain
Two people were killed in Sevier County on Monday after a house fire in the east part of the county not far from the Jefferson County line. The fire broke out before 9:30am on South Flat Creek Road. When firefighters arrived, they found the residence completely engulfed in flames. Two people have been confirmed dead from that fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sevier County Fire Marhsal’s office with assistance from the Sevier County Sheriff’s office and the TBI. Numerous fire agencies responded to that blaze including the English Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. The identities of the deceased have not been released.
