Local Gas Prices Do Not Reflect Dip In Prices In State
As things have calmed down a little in the Middle East, gas prices have eased a little bit in the state of Tennessee. The average gas price in the state as of this morning is $2.77. We have NOT seen that dip in prices yet in Cocke County, as the average price for a gallon of regular continues to be above the state average. As of this morning (7/1), Cocke County’s average price for gas is $2.86. That puts the county in the top 20 in the state for highest average gas prices.
Elsewhere in this area, you will find gas cheaper. $2.70 in Greene County; $2.77 in Hamblen and $2.79 in Jefferson. Sevier County is at $2.76 as of this morning.The cheapest gas prices in the state as of this morning are in Jackson County at $2.58. The most expensive, Williamson County at $3.13.
The average price in the US this morning is $3.17.
