CCSO Responds To Domestic Assault
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office responded to a home in Bybee Saturday night about a domestic situation involving a firearm. Witnesses on the scene stated that 53 year old Patrick Huff pulled out a gun and pointed it at another man during an argument. Huff allegedly threatened to kill the other man. Deputies spoke with the victim outside the home, who stated that Huff was still inside the house with his wife. When police used their loud speaker to contact those inside the home, Huff’s wife came out of the home, but Huff did not. She did give deputies a phone number to reach Huff. However no cell signal meant deputies could not contact Huff by phone. Dispatch was able to make that call for them. Huff then came out of the house and surrendered to deputies but denied pointing a gun at anyone. Huff’s wife stated to deputies but denied pointing a gun at anyone. Huff’s wife stated that she jumped in front of the man that Huff was pointing the gun at. Deputies recovered a Glock 30 .45 caliber handgun inside the residence with four unspent rounds. Huff is being charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault.
