White Pine Parents Charged In Daughters Death

Two people in White Pine have been indicted on charges regarding the death of their daughter. Back on November 19, 2024, White Pine police had been called to an address on Harrison Road where they found 5 year old Aurora Grace Hurst deceased. An extensive investigation followed that discovery. That investigation culminated on Thursday, August 14, with the arrest of the little girl’s parents, William Nicholas Sipple and Shirley Ann Hurst. Both have been charged with Aggravated Child Abuse. White Pine Police Chief Chad Cotter issued a statement thanking all those involved in the investigation including the Department of Children’s Services, the District Attorney’s Office, and the officers of the White Pine Police Department. The case is now in the hands of District Attorney Jimmy Dunn’s office.
