Woman Injured By Runaway Car

A woman was injured in Newport after her vehicle was struck by an unoccupied vehicle. John Loveday told police that he was driving for Door Dash on Duncan Street and had parked his vehicle on a hill to make a delivery. While he was out of the vehicle, it popped out of gear and began rolling down the hill backwards. His vehicle struck another being driven by Brandi Ellison. She had to be transported to the Newport Medical Center for injuries caused when her airbag deployed.
