HSCO Identifies Victims Of Double Shooting

The Hamblen County Sheriff’s office has identified the victims in a double fatal shooting last week. Deputies were sent to a home on Morelock Road Thursday night around 9:45pm where they discovered two individuals dead from gunshot wounds. Those two people have been identified as 69 year old Dennis Chandley and his wife, 66 year old Diana Chandley.

The HCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division’s preliminary findings indicate that Mr. Chandley shot his wife multiple times while she was on the phone with 911, before turning the gun on himself. Someone who knew the Chandley’s says the couple was in the process of divorcing after 10 years of marriage. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who has any additional information about the couple to come forward as their investigation continues.
