Man Arrested After Attempting To Sell Someone Else’s Tractor
A man has been charged in Hamblen County after attempting to sell a tractor he didn’t own on Facebook Marketplace. On Saturday, the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office said it had received a report from a man who found his own tractor falsely listed for sale for $30,000 under the alias “Angela Dawn Benz”. The very next day, Hamblen County Sheriff Chad Mullins and a detective met with the victim at a place where he had arranged to meet the suspect for a possible purchase. Prior to the meeting, the suspect, identified as Jason Blair was caught entering the field where the tractor was originally parked, and a trail camera captured a picture of his truck leaving the scene. Monday afternoon, Blair was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation, as well as attempted theft by deception.
