State Rep. Jeremy Faison Not Seeking Re-Election
When you go to the polls in August and November this election year, you are going to notice a change on the ballot. A name that has been on that ballot for years will now be missing. 11th District State Rep. Jeremy Faison of Cosby has announced that he will not be seeking re-election. Faison was first elected to the state house back in 2010 and became one of the most powerful republicans in the state house, by reaching the position of House Republican Causus Chairman.
Faison was instrumental in getting Cocke County assistance after the devastating flood caused by Hurricane Helen in 2024. Faison announced on his Facebook page on Thursday that he would not be seeking a ninth term. No word on any future plans.
