Indictments Delivered In Undercover Drug Operation

Several law enforcement agencies joined forces and brought down a meth and heroin operation Friday. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office along with the Newport police department with assistance from the Sevier County Sheriff’s office, the Jefferson County sheriff’s office, plus state and federal officials served sealed indictments in an undercover drug operation that targeted the sale of meth and heroin. The indictments are for the Sale and Delivery of Meth and the Sale and Delivery of Heroin. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office says there will be more information released to the public about this case soon…including the names of the individuals listed in those indictments.
