Pigeon Forge Rod Run Starts Today, Expect Heavier Traffic
Get ready for a busy weekend in Sevier County. The Spring Rod Run begins today in Pigeon Forge. The event will take place at the Leconte Center, but that event always brings a huge increase in traffic to the parkway.
The Pigeon Forge Police Department says that drivers in the area need to plan for and expect traffic congestion in Pigeon Forge especially on the Parkway. Pigeon Forge officers will be out in full force this weekend. They will once again be assisted by the Blount County Sheriff’s office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Even though the event is in Pigeon Forge, you can expect traffic to be effected by the Rod Run from the parkway in Sevierville and even out to I-40.
The show’s hours at the LeConte Center are 9am-6pm. The Rod Run goes through Saturday, but as attendees make their way out of the area, you can expect heavy traffic through Sunday in Sevier County.
