North Cumberland In Morristown To Remain Closed For An Additional Week
A much traveled road in Morristown will be closed a little while longer, which will continue to effect traffic downtown. On April 20, the City of Morristown closed North Cumberland Street from Main Street to W. First North Street. The closure was necessary as the Bradley Hardware building is being demolished. North Cumberland Street was set to reopen on May 4, but the city now says, they will extend the closure by a week, as demolition efforts are continuing. The City of Morristown now says they hope to have North Cumberland back open on May 11. A marked detour is currently in place to get traffic around that area.
