Fireworks Reminder

With the long 4th of July weekend on our doorstep, a reminder from Newport officials about fireworks restrictions in the city. Officials remind you that setting off fireworks in the city limits of Newport is illegal…except from Saturday July 3rd through Monday July 5th…..but even on those dates no fireworks are to be set off after 11pm.

Fireworks will be allowed again in the Newport city limits on New Year’s Eve December 31st and New Years’ Day January 1st….No fireworks will be allowed after 12:30 am on those dates.
