Medic Sets Firecracker Of A Goal For Blood Donations

For the 4th of July….the Medic Regional Blood Center has set a goal of getting 1776 units of blood by the end of next week.

Felicia Rhodes at Medic says that all blood levels are critically low, but there’s an urgent need for O positive, O negative and B positive blood types.

To help spur donations now through next Friday July 9th, all donors will receive not just a special tie-dyed t-shirt and a Texas Roadhouse coupon, but will also get a $10 e-gift card good at hundreds of major retailers. All donors will also be registered to win a kayak and be put in the drawing for a $1,000 e-gift card to be given away for the month of July. You can schedule an appointment to give blood at one of Medic’s locations at medicblood.org. You can also find out where the Medic Mobile Blood center will be on that site as well…the mobile blood center will be in Newport next Friday the 9th at Lowe’s from Noon-6
