Cocke County A&I Fair Coming Up

Get ready for the fair…the 73rd annual Cocke County A&I Fair is gearing up to start in a couple weeks. The fair runs from July 20th thru July 24th. ….The fair is excited about a new partnership with carnival company Fox Creek Amusements of Kentucky. Also new this year…2 nights of rodeo action with the J Bar K Pro Rodeo Company….that will be on July 21st & July 22nd. The theme of this year’s fair is Jam Packed Fun…which is what the Cocke County A&I Fair hopes to to do this year…jam pack a lot of fun for you into 5 days.

Things actually get started at the fair on Saturday the 17th with the Fairest Of The Fair pageant. The Fairest of the Fair is open to girls who are residents of Cocke County and have turned 16 years of age but will not reach their 21st birthday by the end of the year. Entry fee is $50…registration for the pageant will be on July 11th at the fairgrounds from 2-4pm. Although contestants can register at the fair office this Friday from 10-3. Contestants will gather at 3pm with the pageant to begin at 8pm. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship, a crown, trophy, flowers and gifts from local merchants.
