Soaky Mountain Waterpark Shooting- One Dead

One person died Saturday night after a deadly shooting at the Soaky Mountain waterpark in Sevierville. 31 year old Sarah Romine from Knoxville was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Police in Severiville believe Romine shot both victims. 30 year old Joshua Dannels of Crossville was also arrested and charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Police say an altercation in the parking lot resulted in gunfire and two young women were shot…24 year old Kelsy Cook and 23 year old Angie Russell. Cook was airlifted to UT Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead Saturday night.

Management at the Soaky Mountain Waterpark said in a statement on Sunday they are deeply saddened by what happened in their parking lot Saturday night and they are cooperating with the Sevierville Police department in the investigation.
