Jefferson Co. Shooting Victims ID’d…Apparent Murder-Suicide

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office has identified the two people that were found dead of gunshot wounds at a home in New Market early Monday morning. According to the sheriff’s office…58 year old Paul West, and his wife 49 year old Vanessa West were found in their home off Shields Ridge Road dead from what is apparently a murder-suicide. A family member found the victims around 1:30am Monday and called police. Neighbors in the area stated they did not hear any gunshots. The bodies of Paul and Vanessa West have been sent to the Knox County Forensic Center for autopsies.
