Woman Arrested Monday At Time Out Travel Center

Monday night Newport police were called out to the Time Out Travel Center about a woman passed out in her car at the gas pump. Responding officer William Garber found the subject, 38 year old Crystal Walker still passed out in her vehicle with a baggy containing what appeared to be methamphetamine in her hand. Officer Garber was able to awaken Walker who had an active child support warrant out against her. The substance in the bag weighed in at just over a gram. Walker was arrested on her outstanding warrant plus has been charged with possession of schedule II narcotics.
