Hartford Man Arrested For Domestic Assault

Cocke County deputies were called on Friday to a domestic assault on Blacks Mountain Road. 57 year old Phyllis Hale of Hartford was found by deputies with a deep laceration to her right hand between the thumb and index finger. Hale stated that she did not know how she got cut, but that she and her boyfriend, 55 year old Jeffrey Bullington of Hartford had gotten into an argument over a tv show and the confrontation turned physical with Bullington grabbing Hale by the throat and threatening her at one point with a gun. Bullington also prevented Hale from calling 911 by throwing her cell phone into the road. Hale made her way to a neighbor’s house and called for help. EMS arrived and stated that Hale needed stitches for her hand, but she refused to be transported to the ER. Bullington was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and interference with an emergency call.Hartford Man Arrested For Domestic Assault
