Parrottsville Man Terrorizes Neighborhood In Morristown

Here’s something you don’t see every day…a man running through people’s yards with…a machete. It happened in Morristown on Sunday in the area of Laurel Street and Hale Avenue. Police had been dispatched to the area and saw the man running with a backpack on carrying a machete…while homeowners screamed. The man was ordered to halt but ignored officer’s orders. On Hale Avenue he approached an elderly lady outside her home and told her to let him in the house or he would kick the door in….that is when police caught up with him and placed him into custody. The man was identified as 45 year old David Ingram of Parrottsville…who it turns out was under the influence of methamphetamine. He has been charged with several offenses including public intoxication…evading arrest…and carrying a prohibited weapon.
