Cocke County Sheriff’s Office To Hold 9-11 Tribute

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a tribute to 9/11. This will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4pm on the south end of the courthouse. The ceremony is expected to last around 45 minutes. All citizens are invited to attend, the sheriff’s department requests that you observe social distancing during the 9/11 tribute. It was 20 years ago Saturday that nearly 3,000 people were killed in terrorist attacks in New York City at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon in Washington DC and on United Flight 93 that crashed in a field near Shanksville, PA.
