Newport Rec. Dept. Fall Hike Series Continues Saturday

The Newport Parks and Recreation Department’s Fall Hike series continues this weekend. On Saturday they will be heading east to North Carolina for this weekend’s hike. That will be the Lover’s Leap Loop Trail in Hot Springs. If you are interested in taking part in the fall hike series, you need to pre-register. You can do that at newporttn.recdesk.com. Hikers will meet at 9am at the Newport Community Center to shuttle or carpool. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the hikes….however anyone under the age of 18 has to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Next weekend they will be heading back to North Carolina…with the Hemp Hill Road Trail near Waynesville. The Fall hike series continues every Saturday through October 16th.
