Summer Wells Case Is Now 3 Months Old

It has now been 3 months since Summer Wells disappeared from her home in Hawkins County…and 3 months later, the TBI says they are no closer to finding the 5 year old girl than when she went missing. The TBI says the investigation continues every day to find the little girl, but there have been no new tips or leads come in. Summer Wells disappeared from her home in the Beech Creek area of Hawkins County on the evening of June 15th. A massive search of that area that features steep and rough terrain was conducted over the next several weeks. Towards the latter part of June the TBI put out an alert for a vehicle of interest that was thought to be in the vicinity around the time the girl disappeared. That vehicle has yet to be located. The TBI and the Hawkins County sheriff’s office continue to investigate and say that investigation will not stop till they find or find out what happened to 5 year old Summer Wells.
