TBI Gives Summer Wells Case Update
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Hawkins County Sheriff’s office gave an update Thursday afternoon on the status of the investigation into the diappearance of Summer Wells. Leslie Earhardt of the TBI says the investigation is still ongoing, but they still have more questions than answers regarding that 5 year old girl’s disppearance., but they have not given up hope and will not. Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson stated that to preserve the integrity of the case, investigators cannot reveal everything they know and are currently working on. The TBI reiterated that any tips need to come from reliable, credible sources. They say that tips stemming from social media slow down their efforts.
Summer Wells has now been missing for over 3 months. She disappeared from her home in the remote Beech creek area of Hawkins County on the evening of June 15th. She has not been heard seen or heard from since.
