Morristown Credit Union Robbed
Morristown police are working with the FBI in relation to a bank robbery Tuesday. They are searching for the suspect responsible for robbing the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union on Winners Circle Road in Morristown. According to an official with the FBI… the suspect entered the credit union at 9:20 Tuesday morning and handed tellers a note, demanding money. “The tellers complied with the demands. It is believed the suspect fled from the credit union in a newer-model, small Ford SUV.
Police released a description of the suspect based on witness accounts. The bank robber is a white male with medium build, in his late 20′s to early 30′s. Witnesses say he was wearing a long-sleeve shirt, a white construction hard hat, dark-colored pants, a yellow reflector vest, brown shoes and a dark-colored face mask. Anyone with information about the robbery at the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union in Morristown is urged to call the FBI’s Knoxville Field Office at 865-544-0751.
