More Details In Greene County Double Homicide
A few more details are being released regarding that double homicide in Greene County late Sunday night. According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff’s department, deputies arrived on scene just after midnight on Monday morning. Officers on-scene reported seeing a juvenile in a vehicle with another person, and two people seated in another vehicle nearby. That juvenile was placed in the patrol car…afterwards that is when deputies went around to the back of the home and found the bodies of 59 year old Sherry Cole and 7 year old Jessie Allen. Deputies say they discovered “puddles” of blood next to a parked car along with assorted tools, some of which the say were covered in blood. The juvenile suspect was taken to the Greene County jail where he was interviewed by the TBI who is handling the investigation. District Attorney General Dan Armstrong says the juvenile suspect will appear later this week at a detention center hearing. Armstrong says at that hearing, the state could file to have the juvenile tried as an adult and transfer the case to criminal court.
