Woman Charged With Assaulting Deputy

A domestic situation turned into assault of a police officer in Cocke County over the weekend. Tyler Trivett told a deputy that he and his wife along with her sister and their kids were at Wilderness Of The Smokies Resort. Trivett stated the two women had been drinking and he told them he just wanted to go home, but they did not listen, so Trivett stated he drove himself home. His wife and sister-in-law showed up a short time later and a scuffle broke out between the two women and himself. Trivett had a black eye with marks on his face and neck. While trying to get the story from Trivett, the two women, Sandy Trivett and Bonnie Webster continued to yell and scream and at one point while trying to take Sandy Trivett into custody, she kicked the deputy in the knee. Both women were arrested and charged with domestic assault. Sandy Trivett was charged with assault on the police officer as well.
