Man Reports Stolen Gun

A Newport man called police Monday to report his vehicle had been broken into and a gun had been stolen. The man stated he left his car parked on Touchdown Way at 1pm and when he returned around 4pm, his .38 Derringer pistol was missing from the car. The Derringer has a brown stock and barrel. It does not have a serial number, as the gun is very old. Value of the stolen gun is estimated to be $300.
