Woman Arrested After leaving Drugs In Patrol Car

Cocke County police responded to an accident at the Cub Motel In Cosby Wednesday. One of those involved in the accident was 20-year-old Jada Touchton. She was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest regarding an assault charge. While transporting her to jail, Deputy Miranda Williams noticed Touchton moving around in the backseat. She also heard the rustling noise of a plastic bag. After escorting Touchton into the Cocke County jail, a search of the backseat of the patrol car yielded a baggie with 4 Clonazepam pills. Touchton was then also charged with possession of schedule IV narcotics.
