Vehicle Seized Deemed To Be Used For Transport And Distribute
The Cocke County K-9 unit spotted a vehicle travelling eastbound on Interstate 40 near MM434 with expired tags. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver, 30 year old Danielle Reed of Newport was acting nervous and originally gave permission for her vehicle to be searched then changed her mind. The K-9 Wubba searched the vehicle’s exterior and alerted to the driver’s side. That gave probable cause for a search and 2 grams of heroin were found in a bag along with 3 Alprazolam pills. Reed was taken into custody charged with possession of schedule I narcotics. Her Dodge SUV was deemed to be a vehicle used to transport and distribute illegal drugs and was seized.
