Man charged With Aggravated Domestic Assault

A very dangerous situation resulted in one man going to jail. This happened at the El Toro restaurant at the College Square Mall in Morristown. 55 year old Jonathan Eldredge told police he had seen his 29 year old daughter, Salena with her boyfriend, 28 year old Jason Sharp of Tazewell at the restaurant. Eldredge stated he wanted to talk to his daughter and that conversation became heated. According to Johnathan Eldredge that is when Jason Sharp approached him and began choking him to the point he thought he was going to die. Eldredge says that the two then struggled and it was at that time Sharp pulled a gun and put it to Eldredge’s head and threatened to pull the trigger. The two were then separated and Sharp and Salena Eldredge left. Sharp was later questioned by police. He told the same story as Jonathan Eldredge, except he got cut in the struggle between the two and thought that Eldredge had cut him with a knife…which is why he pulled the gun. Sharp stated he never did see Eldredge in possession of a weapon. Sharp was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated domestic assault…his gun was confiscated.
