2 Convicted Felons Arrested

Two men were arrested over the weekend after they were found to be felons with a weapon in their car. A Cocke County deputy spotted the vehicle pull into the 440 Truck Stop on Highway 73. The two men in the front seat exchanged places with the driver 35 year old Eric Click moving into the passenger seat and 28 year old John Lovell of Dandridge taking over the driver seat. That vehicle then exited the truck stop and took off at a high rate of speed westbound on I-40. That vehicle was pulled over by police at the off ramp to exit 435. That is when the deputy spotted a shotgun in the back floorboard. Both Click & Lovell were known to be convicted felons. A set of brass knuckles was also found in the driver’s side floorboard. Click was found to be in possession of heroin when getting inside the jail. Both men were charged with possession of schedule I drugs and carrying a prohibited weapon.
