GoFundMe Page Started For 14 Year Old Drowning Victim

A little more information being released regarding the drowning death of a Jefferson County teenager last Thursday in Douglas Lake. Tristan Eilers was fishing at the Leadvale Lake Access area near White Pine when he and his friend decided to go swimming. Tristan’s mother, who was there says that the boys got a little farther out from shore than they should have. Tristan was not a strong swimmer and he evidently got out into an area where the lake floor drops off sharply. Tristan Eilers was just 14 years old.
