Newport Man Victim Of Theft

Police were called to the Family Inn on Cosby Hwy in Newport Wednesday. Terry Simmons told police that two men, Jared and David Cameron had stolen his credit card. Simmons stated he cancelled the card as a precaution and was notified that the card was attempted for use at several locations totaling $500. Simmons stated that several medications were stolen from his room and that his safe had been broken into and a 9mm Ruger has been stolen. Value of the handgun is $350. No arrests have been made yet.
