Newport Police Make Drug Arrest

Newport police have been patrolling an area suspected of heavy drug activity. Police arrived at a home belonging to the Newport Housing Authority Wednesday afternoon. Employees with the housing authority assisted officers. Inside the home, police spoke with 36 year old Jennifer Rucker. Inside the property, officers found over 3 grams of marijuana plus a grinder…and another .95 grams of methamphetamine. Rucker was arrested and charged with manufacture sale or delivery of meth and possession of schedule VI narcotics.
