Motorist Strikes Skateboarder

A scary situation on Friday after a motorist struck a boy on a skateboard. It happened Friday evening at the intersection of Buda St, Baily Street and Humane Way. A witness stated that the car driven by 65 year old Rhonda Breeden was traveling westbound on Bailey when a 12 year old on a skateboard failed to look before entering the intersection and Breeden struck the youth with her car. EMS was called to the scene but the 12 year old boy and his mother declined medical attention. The boy was wearing headgear for protection.
