Newport Man Victim Of Theft

A man flagged down police in Newport Friday night. The man, an employee of Wal-Mart, stated that he had given a homeless couple a ride from Pigeon Forge to Newport. He stated he dropped the couple off at Wal-Mart on Cosby Hwy. It was shortly afterwards, he noticed his wallet and cell phone were missing. His phone was a company phone needed to clock in and out of work. The man stated he went back to find the couple but was told by another Wal-Mart employee that the two had run from the parking lot. The victim described the male as wearing a white shirt and shorts with short brown hair. He stated the female was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with curly, blonde hair.
