Over 1,000 Vote On Opening Days Of Early Voting

Over 1,000 Cocke County voters have taken advantage of the opportunity to vote early. Early voting began last Wednesday, October 19th. 1,057 have now cast their vote early. The early voting site in the Western Plaza Shopping Center is open this week Monday-Friday from 9-5 and 9-noon on Saturday. The last day to vote early is Thursday November 3rd.

If you do not vote early, you will need to cast your vote at your local voting precinct. This is the election for federal and state offices, including Governor. This is also the local election for Newport and Parrottsville. There are also four amendments to the state of Tennessee’s constitution on the ballot as well. Those are all a yes or no vote.
