Cosby Woman Arrested In Hamblen County With Drugs

A Cosby woman was arrested in Hamblen County for possession of heroin. Police in Morristown spotted a Pontiac Vibe sitting in the parking lot of Lowes early Monday morning. There was a female sitting in the backseat. Police came in contact with 41 year old Teresa Shelton of Cosby who told officers she had driven from Newport to Jefferson City to see a friend and was resting because she did not want to drive back to Newport. Police officers stated that Shelton was not making much sense and admitted that she had BOI in her bra. BOI is a street name for heroin. Shelton took .3 grams of heroin out and was also in possession of numerous syringes. She was arrested and charged with schedule I narcotics possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
