Traffic Stop Leads To Two Arrests

A traffic stop Sunday night resulted in the arrest of two people with outstanding warrants. A vehicle driven by 23 year old Christian Haynes was pulled over for expired tags. Haynes was wanted on a theft warrant in Cocke County. She stated she had dropped off a man, 21 year old Nicholas Gibson at the Time Out Travel Center. Gibson was found in the back parking lot of the Travel Center. He smelled of marijuana and he was in possession of 44 grams of marijuana that were packaged in three baggies. Gibson also had a warrant for probation violation. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant and also charged with possession of schedule VI narcotics.
