Shadrack’s To Begin Final Season At Smokies Stadium
For over 10 years, one thing motorists could count on seeing each holiday season was the lights they could see from Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at Smokies Stadium off exit 407 in Kodak. The dancing lights can easily be seen from the interstate and many have enjoyed driving through the expansive light display in the Smokies Stadium parking lot each year. However, all good things must come to an end it seems, and Shadrack’s has annonced this will be the last holiday season they will be at Smokies Stadium. This year’s final display runs starts tomorrow night and runs through January 1st from 6pm-10pm.
While the Smokies Stadium Shadrack’s may be starting it’s final year, the day after Thanksgiving, November 25th, a new Shadrack’s tradition begins with Shadrack’s “Super-Sized Christmas Adventure” opening at the Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville. A drive-through “storybook” featuring large, illustrated art with lights will run through New Years’ Day from 6-10 p.m. in the Soaky Mountain Waterpark parking lot. There is a maze of lights visitors can drive through and the lights are synched to music played in your vehicle’s radio as you slowly drive thru. Santa Claus is also expected to make numerous appearances there as well. You can get full details about BOTH the Smokes Stadium and Soaky Mountain Waterpark displays at the website shadrackchristmas.com.
