Attempted Theft At Village Way

Someone left an apartment at Village Way in Newport in a mess after they attempted to steal the window air conditioner out of that apartment. Police were called after management was alerted about the attempted theft. Officers noted what looked like a window frame lying in the living room floor with pieces of broken glass. The cover to the air conditioner unit was also found lying among the glass. Management at the time police were there did not have an estimate of the damage done to the apartment during that break in.
