Total Lunar Eclipse Early Tuesday Morning

Tonight is your last chance to see a total lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse happens when the earth, sun and moon are in perfect alignment…causing the moon to fall into the earth’s shadow. Since this is also a full moon, it is known as a blood moon due to the red hue that the moon takes when it crosses into the earth’s shadow. The total lunar eclipse begins at 3:02 tomorrow morning eastern time and will peak at 5:59am. We probably won’t see the end of the eclipse as it ends at 7:24am…and with us being back on standard time, the sun will be up by then. Like we said, this is your last chance to see a total lunar eclipse for awhile. The next one will not happen until sometime in 2025.
