CCSO Arrests Man In connection With Drug Bust Last Week

Last week, Cocke County authorities served a search warrant on a property and seized drugs, weapons and cash. Yesterday, the Cocke County Sheriff’s office arrested the man who owned that property. Yesterday, the sheriff’s office arrested the property owner Dustin Chappel. The sheriff’s office says it was a risky and dangerous situation taking Chappel into custody. They seized more drugs and cash yesterday…including 8 ounces of methamphetamine and 3 ounces of marijuana plus $1,900 in cash. Chappel is being charged with possession of meth with intent to sell and weapons possession.
