One Vehicle Wreck Leads To DUI

Cocke County deputies arrested a man over the weekend after he wrecked his car. Law enforcement came upon the overturned vehicle on Hwy 73. The driver, 19 year old Noah Thompson of Newport stated that he had left a friend’s house to clear his head after having an argument there with his girlfriend. Thompson, who admitted to having to much to drink, admitted to going too fast causing the one-vehicle accident. Thompson refused medical attention and was taken into custody for DUI.
