Property Stolen Out Of Truck Friday

Police are looking into who sold some property that was stolen out of a truck in Newport on Friday. Brandon Baxter told police that he had parked his truck at Walgreen’s while he went inside. He left his backpack inside the truck and when he came back to backpack and all that was in it was gone. Baxter stated he later was notified by someone that his laptop had been sold by the thief to someone in Parrottsville. The caller also asked him if he would like to buy back his mini-drone. Baxter gave police the name of the suspect. Total dollar amount of what was stolen was just under $2,000.
