Woman Arrested After Nearly Striking Police Officer
A Bean Station woman is in custody in Morristown after nearly striking a police office with her car…for the second time. An officer was called late last week to a Hardee’s on East Morris Blvd. regarding a woman slumped over the wheel of a car. The woman in the vehicle was identified as 31 year old Tricia Williams…who had an active warrant for her arrest after nearly hitting a police officer with her car early last week. When the officer got her attention, and told her to roll down her window, she rolled down all windows except the drivers’ window. When the officer attempted to reach from the back window to unlock the drivers’ door, Williams put the car in drive and sped away through the parking lot. She crashed that car a short time later. While getting her into custody, officers discovered nearly 27 grams of meth along with baggies and a scale. She is charged with possession of meth with intent to sell…plus reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and evading arrest.
