TDOT Halts Construction For Easter Weekend

TDOT says they will be suspending all construction on Tennessee’s interstate highways during the Easter Holiday. All road construction projects on interstates in Tennessee will be halted starting Thursdsay night at 6pm through Monday morning, April 10th at 6am. TDOT says that while construction projects will be stopped, there may still be construction workers on site and reduced speed limits will remain in effect.

In addition the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will open both lanes of the tunnel on the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Spur from Friday April 7th through Sunday April 16th. On Monday, April 17th, the lane closure at the tunnel will go back in effect for the rest of April while crews finish that project.
