Missing Elderly Man Leads To Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Bullard Drive Tuesday, in reference to a missing elderly man. Upon arriving to the residence, Lt. Dylan Norton spoke with the caller who stated that her last contact with the elderly male was around 1am, and she had camera footage of him leaving with his son, Dewey Talton. She also advised that the elderly man had several serious, life threatening illnesses and needed his medication. While the officer was speaking with the caller, Dewey Talton and the elderly man rode by the residence, looked towards the home and kept going. Out of concern for the elderly man’s safety and well being, the officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The elderly man appeared to the officer to be of good health and a family member transported him back to his residence. The Driver, Dewey Talton was confirmed to have a revoked drivers license, and he was placed under arrest. Upon search, Talton was found to have half of an orange pill and a half strip of suspected suboxone in his pants pocket, and approximately .25 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his wallet.
